WASHINGTON, D.C, – Today, Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, met with President Trump’s nominee for Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Daryl Caudle.

Adm. Caudle will appear before the Senate Armed Services Committee for his confirmation hearing this Thursday, July 24th, 2025.

Background on Admiral Daryl Caudle:

Admiral Daryl Caudle has held significant leadership roles during his career, including Vice Director for Strategy, Plans & Policy (J‑5) on the Joint Staff; Deputy Commander of U.S. 6th Fleet; and Director of Operations for U.S. Naval Forces Europe‑Africa. He was also commanded Naval Submarine Forces, Submarine Force Atlantic, and Allied Submarine Command from 2019-2021.

Since December 7, 2021, he has served as Commander of the U.S. Fleet Forces Command.

Adm. Caudle has received numerous distinguished awards, including the Navy Distinguished Service Medal, four Defense Superior Service Medals, and four Legion of Merit awards.

Adm. Caudle was nominated by President Trump, to serve as the next Chief of Naval Operations on June 17th, 2025.
