President Donald Trump appeared at Indiana and Miami’s college football national championship game matchup on Monday, Jan. 19.
Trump was shown on the ESPN broadcast during the national anthem and was met with mostly cheers by the crowd at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, when he was shown on the big screen. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a Miami graduate and former U.S. Senator out of Florida, also appeared at the game.
Trump has made an effort to appear at American sporting events since taking office just under a year ago. He was the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl last year, was at Army-Navy recently and has attended multiple UFC events.
