Senator Jim Banks Sends Letter to Acting FDA Commissioner Regarding Dangerous Counterfeit Weight Loss Drugs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) sent a letter to Dr. Sara Brenner, Acting Commissioner of Food and Drugs, regarding unregulated and potentially dangerous active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) being shipped to the US from foreign countries and used in injectable weight loss drugs. Senators Banks and Collins Introduce the Ensuring Veterans’ Final Resting Place Act of 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Senators Jim Banks (R-Ind.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine.) introduced the Ensuring Veterans’ Final Resting Place Act of 2025. Currently, veterans can receive VA burial benefits, including headstones, markers, or urns. However, those who choose an urn or plaque lose eligibility for burial in a VA cemetery, even if their spouse remains eligible.
