Indiana U.S. Sen. Jim Banks said he’d consider withholding federal grant money funneled to the Indianapolis police department if the agency does not help carry out the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
“My message to the police chief and others who want to block these efforts to deport illegals, especially those who are violent criminals, is that I’m exploring ways we can take away your federal grants that go to your law enforcement agencies if you don’t back up the federal government,” Banks said during the WISH-TV segment.
